I am not a very good understanding of engines, but judging by the pictures you have done a tremendous job, but it is worth it.

Is it worth the effort and time? Well, good question. The dyno will ultimately tell as well as the reliability. Let's hope so!

Hi guys,
just wanted to let you know there is a German tuner who tuned the Er6 engine; compression went up to 13.8:1; pistons, crankshaft and con rods were lightened and balanced; different camshafts with extremer timing; they optimized the ports, a dynojet-power and ignition commander, SR-racing header with akrapovic exhaust, bigger airbox with sport filter and ZX10R throttle bodies. The result is 98hp / 10600rpm and a torque of 71Nm /8300rpm (seems max rpm is around 11250rpm)
The tuner was: http://www.hoely.de/
Best of luck,
Cheers,

Hugo

Hay been watching with interest from New Zealand.I currently have over the last 16-20 months been spannering, setting up,preparing, maintaining my friends er650 as ive been having break from racing for that long.We are the only ones racing here so far and i am impressed with your progress. So far we have got the zx6rr race glass, ohlins rear, traxton front, leo vince exhaust, power commander and have recently lowered commpression and touched up intakes and valves. The bike is going to be running and sorted on dyno in about 3 weeks. We are competing this year in the Auckland Champs Formula 3 (we finished 3rd overall) and me riding it in Pro Twins begins in 5 weeks,07-08 NZ National Championship and the Battle of the streets series (finished 4th overall last year) ill be talking to ya again soon and look forward to sourcing some frames and parts when i build mine up as a spare and devolopment bike in the next 6 months or so,keep up the good work n if ya ever decide to head down this way give us a yell all the best with your racing
