Donington Park

Dani Pedrosa showed everyone the way round Donington Park in 2006 in absolutely staggering performance; a memorable moment to witness in person. Valentino Rossi’s late charge proved to not be enough but provided a fanastic battle with Marco Melandri.

A MotoGP circuit !

Our Ducati ex-AMA bike being chased through the second apex at Coppice.

The Craner curve section is world famous for its frighteningly fast downhill left hander and Coppice’s double apex corner is one of the most important section to get right for a quick lap time.

Derby-Phoenix uses the club circuit, which goes straight at Foggy’s Esses and then a right/left through Goodards onto the start/finish straight. Having ridden both layouts nuermous times, the Melbourne loop seems to do little more than just lengthen the circuit. It’s mainly a stop and go section and not terribly enjoyable.

Donington Park underwent a major overhaul of it’s pit building complex during the 2005/2006 off season. The track has also been completely resurfaced and is now very grippy!
